A Thousand Times Yes is how she would answer any questions about their lifelong commitment to serve Christ. As medical doctors, these Baylor College of Medicine graduates experienced high expectations for their future career and lives in the emerging culture in the United States, post–World War II. However, with the whisper of God’s voice so clear in her ear and the burning in his heart, the two knew they had but one choice. Willing to face danger and reject societal expectations, these two doctors answered God’s call to use their skills in Africa. It was there they raised a family of five sons. A Thousand Times Yes is a compelling account of what God can do in and through the lives of those who hear and answer His call. Every believer has a calling. Dr. Wana Ann’s spiritual journey account will encourage believers to listen and accept His call unique to all of us.
