[Birmingham, Ala. / April 1, 2009] – How would our lives change if we loved—really loved—people with a seemingly impossible kind of love? If we could see past external appearances to what Jesus sees? Grounded in Scripture, Called to Love: Stories of Compassion, Faith, and God’s Amazing Grace (978-1-59669-235-0, New Hope Publishers, $14.99) follows the ultimate model of true love—that of Jesus Himself.
WMU president Kaye Miller guides readers on a journey of self-discovery through her powerful, often heartrending, true stories of faith in action.
“I wrote this book to encourage the readers to really look at the world around them and see it as Jesus sees it and to really love as Jesus loves so that they can make a difference in this world,” says author Kaye Miller.
Through careful biblical study, readers will understand what it means to see with His eyes, listen with His ears, touch with His hands, think with His mind, and feel with His heart. The call to love will transform hearts and lives as believers embrace the challenge to heal, proclaim, give, and overcome.
“The stories in this book are moving,” says Rex Horne, president of Ouachita Baptist University. “The challenge is clear. May the Lord use Kaye and Called to Love to inspire many to live authentically as Christ followers.”
